Rebel Galaxy starts out as a fairly light-hearted arcade spaceship dog-fighter with a great soundtrack. The first few hours are good fun; play with a controller, go mining, pirating, trading etc. I find it kind of weird that although you're in a big 3D space, you can only move on one horizontal plane, so anything above or below you is out of reach other than the auto turrets. You're surrounded constantly by skull-level enemies who can kill you in a few hits and the combat is just auto firing, trying to get side-on to shoot the broadside cannons, and deflecting missiles. Lots of grinding for minor upgrades - I eventually gave up after losing an "average threat" battle 10 times in a row.
