Havendock

Havendock is a colony builder, with some ideas taken from RAFT. You start on a little island with nothing, and collect resources that float past to start building an ocean dock world. Settlers arrive, and you build a village living on the sea by expanding docks and fulfilling their needs. It's pretty ambitious for a solo dev and it definitely shows its rough edges. I played for a while and although I really like the idea, it looks like the performance is unable to keep up, getting slower and slower as you add more people.

Pros

  • You build a colony on the sea by extending your base with wooden platforms
  • Some light automation
  • Relaxing survival - it's not difficult at all to keep your metres full
  • Huge research tree
  • In addition to settlers, you also get animal helpers. Baby seagulls transfer resources between buildings, and you also get mouse helpers

Cons

  • Some buildings allow you to add extra items to them - like adding fish to birdhouses; but it doesn't explain what that does
  • Awful UI
  • Multiplayer existed, and was then removed because it was too hard to develop
