Grim Dawn

It was only after coming back to this recenty having just finished Titan Quest Anniversary that I realised what this game is. This is a modern graphic version of Titan Quest. All of the same mechanics, same class choice system (with new classes), same inventory, same keybindings, same portal mechanics. So I guess if you enjoyed TQ, then this is the game for you. I enjoyed it, but it's very mindless - just hold the mouse button until everything's dead. The lore and the world are nice. I finished the normal mode playthrough in about 30 hours and don't have any desire to play it again. The ending was anticlimactic; after killing the last boss there is no dialogue, no credits, and no cutscene.

Pros

  • Looks pretty good
  • Decent number of classes, and lots of skills to choose from
  • You can choose two main classes and split between them

Cons

  • The UI is basically the same as Titan Quest. Tiny text, same font
  • Skill points feel insignificant
  • Items don't indicate state changes, you have to look at everything manually
  • Most quests aren't voice acted
