Escape From Mystwood Mansion

This was just the right amount of clever for me. You enter a mansion and work through a series of rooms (all independent). There are codes all over the place, padlocks, cryptic patterns etc. Slowly you work out what goes where, and solve each puzzle, unlocking a piece of something you need for another puzzle. The contained space of each room means you know that the answer is within reach, which makes it very digestible. There's also a good amount of physics freedom, like you can put the objects you need for clues next to the puzzle.

Pros

  • Great level of difficulty
  • Runs really well
  • Object physics means you can move things around to where you need them to remind you
  • Hints if you want them
  • Rooms are self contained

Cons

  • VERY short. I finished it in 3 hours, and it costs €16.
