Astro Prospector
Astro Prospector is an incremental bullet hell with lovely pixel graphics, and great soundtrack, and addictive action with simple controls (literally just the mouse cursor). Like many other nodebuster-likes, it takes place over very short levels that you grind out to get upgrades to get stronger. What sets this one apart is the bullet hell mechanics.
Pros
- Good length, about 6 hours
- Introduces new mechanics and upgrades at a decent rate
- Never gets boring
- Flow Rings give you a strong incentive to move about - not just dodging bullets
- Varied weapons all with lots of upgrades
Cons
- In the later stages especially, it can be difficult to see where your ship and cursor are, which is kind of crucial when it's a bullet hell.
